Choosing the right elemental tone allows the massage to speak deeply to your core and compassionately connect your muscles, nervous system, heart, and mind. This deep connection releases stress and restores balance through all levels of your being.
Choose from Space (restful,) Air (connecting,) Fire (intense,) Water (delightful,) or Earth (energizing) tones. Read in depth about each elemental tone below.
Space (restful)
This massage balances someone who may be burned out, tired, or over stimulated. It is designed to provide a quiet and soothing experience that does not add to the agitation already in the body and mind. Thus, it may incorporate more energy work, pressure points, longer holds, and a slower gentler rhythm so that you can receive the deep rest you require.
Air (connecting)
This massage balances someone who may be irregular, dry, cold, and otherwise feeling mentally scattered from their usual self. It is designed to create a warm and loving space that reconnects you and brings you back to your center. The air massage will contain longer sweeping massage strokes that regulate and balance energy flow so that you feel whole again. Sink into a soothing and relaxing experience where all the forgotten corners of your body are reconnected, nurtured, and soothed.
Fire (intense)
This massage balances someone who is naturally passionate, driven, and more athletic. It matches the intensity of their feisty nature in order to capture their attention and keep them in the moment long enough to calm the fires within. These "Type A" personalities will get bored or angry, their minds remaining fixed on work while on the massage table if their minds can't be satisfied, and thus it will contain enough satisfaction to keep their attention. Providing enough sensation to engage an active mind is the key to bring the hot red fire down to a rosy and loving pink glow.
Water (delightful)
This massage balances someone who often gives too much of themselves; depleting their inner reserves. It pampers and satisfies the bodies need for enjoyment and allows them to receive just for the pleasure of it. By paying more attention to the pleasurable and sensitive areas such as hands and face, it affirms you lovingly, and restores balance to the nervous system and heart as well as the body. This massage may include more Swedish massage, and will pay more attention to the heart, head, and hands so that you can escape from external demands for a while and recharge.
Earth (energizing)
This massage balances someone who is stuck, murky, or bogged down. Their state is often muddy and they feel like they can’t muster the courage or energy to move forward. This massage will strive to stimulate and revive your natural vitality and zest for life. It will get you moving again and awaken a dull nervous system. Its techniques will often include more movement and pressure to dig deep without being overly aggressive. Expect to stay awake and engaged as the energy gets flowing.

Pregnancy Massage Pledge
At Back To Bliss we believe that mothers are the pillars which hold up our communities. We pledge to support our communities by helping our mothers to be stay balanced and healthy while they nurture the next generation. Our pregnancy massage will always be 20% below our standard massage rate rate! This means that for around $40 per 60 min massage, moms have no excuse not to receive regular massages.
It is our pleasure and honor to hep mothers receive frequent pain relief from the pains of a changing body, detoxification to assure baby grows in a healthy environment, and relaxation to ease the stresses of mind and body while they prepare for baby to arrive.
